About
Saxophone Day is an educational event for saxophonists of all ages and abilities. There will be workshops, clinics, saxophone ensembles, a guest artist recital and master class, and vendors with equipment to try and purchase. The event is hosted by Dr. Edward Goodman and UA Saxophone Studio.
Guest Artist
This year’s guest artist is saxophonist Jeff Siegfried, Assistant Professor of Saxophone at West Virginia University. Dr. Siegfried is a renowned soloist, chamber musician, and recording artist.

Saxophone Day COVID Protocols
In accordance with the University of Arizona’s COVID protocols:
- Everyone is encouraged to wear face masks while inside the Fred Fox School of Music, being an indoor space on campus.
- There are designated spaces within the school of music with signs saying face masks coverings are required. For these spaces, we ask that you wear a mask.
- When participants perform (saxophone ensemble, masterclasses, vendors), we ask that you perform while wearing slitted mask coverings. Note that slitted asks coverings will not be provided at this time.
We appreciate your understanding and flexibility in an effort to keep everyone safe during this event.
Cost
Due to University policies, UA Saxophone Day only can accept checks or money orders. No cash. Checks are to be written out to “The University of Arizona” (memo line: Sax Day), and are to be given in person on the day of the event at the registration table

Accompanying parent / family pass – $5
- Parents or teachers may purchase an accompanying pass (to accompany their child/student) for $5, which admits all additional family members to all events

- Check in at the lobby in front of Holsclaw Hall
- Parking is available at the garage at the corner of Speedway and Park
As a reminder, registration will officially begin at 9:30am in the Music Building in front of Holsclaw Hall.
